And when it did stay running, it just revs and doesn't move. Soon after you put it in gear and it would just stall. So the trans worked good for awhile (2 months) and then started slipping and I started noticing the car running alittle hot. My brother (a mechanic but unfortunately moved away) says the engine isn't original, its an older 3.8 that they put the TBI intake assembly on top of. Anyway, I took it off and replaced it with a carb, car ran great after that. The TBI was malfunctioning, would not take gas, actually, would die when you hit the pedal, and then lunge forward when you released. I went through and cut out all the bad sections and hooked everything back up. It was originally TBI but when I got the car home I noticed some mice had made it's home under the hood and chewed some wires. It's white, has digital dash, 3.8V6 engine and 3 speed auto-trans. Had been sitting in a field and the guy said the trans was bad. I bought a '86 Thunderbird about a year ago for $200. Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and wanted to ask a few quick questions.
